Here are a selected few of the individuals & businesses we have had the privilege to partner with.

  CMS (Content Management Systems)

CMS installation and setup is made very easy through certain open-source and free applications such as WordPress and Joomla. At Web Engineers we are able to customise a CMS solution to your needs and create striking templates and designs that match your corporate image. CMS solutions are usually used by indiviuals and organizations needing blogs or who have a high flow of information on their websites. We can also integrate a CMS solution within your current website and MySQL database.

orangegiggle.co.za

The client needed a dynamic weblog to showcase her photographs and share her experiences while at the same time marketing her skills and creativity.

A WordPress installation with public theme was used.

  Dynamic websites & Development

Websites with ever-changing content, especially those linked to databasess or complicated flat-file structures, are referred to as dynamic websites. Dynamic websites require skilled and proficient development work. Web Engineers prides itself in using the latest object-oriented development trends. We specialise in PHP, which is arguably the most powerful web scripting language, and MySQL.

lindiekuhnphotography.co.za

The client required a slick and clean online photographic portfolio with back-end (management) functionality which would allow the upload and management of photographs.

xHTML, CSS & PHP.

kasouga.co.za

This website was developed entirely with PHP & MySQL (with xHTML & CSS as web standards). After consultation with the client due to restricting circumstances it was decided to sacrifice design for greater functionality.

The client needed properties in the database to be displayed on the website while connecting the owners of the homes with prospective tennants. Seperate user and administration areas were also developed to allow effective control and management of the website and its content with minimal effort on the part of the owner.

  Static websites

Static websites refer mainly to websites that have no dynamic content and usually consist of a page or small number of pages that only supply the viewer with a limited amount of information. Static web pages can be developed quickly, easily and cheaply according to specific requirements.

The Unit for Religion and Development Research is a self-reliant entity (with academic status) within the structure of the Faculty of Theology at Stellenbosch University. A website was needed to inform both, staff, members and interested persons about the Unit and its services. The website design needed to conform to the design standards of the University.

creatingcareers.co.za

This was also a startup website for said organizaiton. The website needed to allow for future expansion, possible implementation of a database and more functionality. The website will become more dynamic as time progresses. The client also requested online contact forms geared specifically towards their customer base (which was executed with PHP).

kougakliphuis.co.za

This was a startup website for a small accommodation establishment in the Eastern Cape. xHTML & CSS as well as JavaScript (incl. Prototype & Scriptaculous libraries) were used for gallery and moving parts.

Text content on the website is minimal and it made sense to limit the site to one page; moving parts hide and unhide information on request while rotating images create the illusion of a dynamic site.
